Club/Organization Name: Broadcast Journalism for broadcast Club Advisor: Vicki Steffenhagen Room number of where the club meets: 225 Purpose of Club/Organization: The purpose of this club is to produce a live, daily newscast for the student body and staff. B.J. also produces various videos for the school including registration, electives, open house, testing, sports highlights and student council speeches. Criteria for membership: Broadcast Journalism I is open to any student. Membership in BJ II or III requires success in the prior class and teacher approval. Activities and functions: This is a class at PVHS, but it acts and participates in club and activity functions. Members produce the daily newscast, the TGIF programs, and various educational videos for the school. Advanced members enter various contests district and nationwide.
