Classroom Connect -
Provides the latest educational Web links, ideas on how to integrate
the internet into your lessons, and even lesson plans.
Classroom
Today -
This classroom connect site introduces teachers to Classroom
Today. Topics
change frequently to match national academic topics or events,
such as Native Americans' community and traditions for Native Americans
Week. Included are a Daily Question, Weekly Question, Think
Facts, Mystery Photo, Connections Surveys, Hot List, People Profiles
and Field Trip. Another section of this site is titled the
Student Center. Here students can choose to check todayís
headlines in the news or check out their electronic library for
research information. They can play games based on academic information
or check out the gallery to view other student work. Additionally,
students may check into the message board where others share opinions
and ideas or send an e-postcard based on current Classroom Connect
projects or topics. One of the current long-term national projects
classrooms can sign on to is Asia Quest. Finally, there is
the Teacherís Lounge, which provides teachers with information
on using the weekly topic, using this site, assessment and how
to gain more benefits from Classroom Connect.
CyberGuides:
Grades 9-12 -
Supplementary, standards-based, web-delivered units of instruction
centered on core works of literature. Each CyberGuide contains
a student and teacher edition, standards, a task and a process
by which it may be completed, teacher-selected web sites and
a rubric, based on California Language Arts Content Standards.

should learn how to test web sites for credibility using them for
research.
MicroSoft
Education Tutorial -
This site provides a number of social studies and language arts
lesson plans that incorporate the use of technology in the
classroom. The lesson plans are interactive and include approximate
time lengths.
Sequenced Lesson Plans (Georgia Dept of Ed) -
Find a year's worth of lesson plans for a variety of grades
and subjects. Heaviest emphasis is on K-5. There are links to websites
within the lessons and sometimes downloadable materials. They are
aligned to generic standards which most likely can be found in
every state. Very nice.

RubiStar -
RubiStar is a tool to help the teacher who wants to use rubrics
but does not have the time to develop them from scratch. There's
a tutorial or dive right in and create a rubric. You start by
selecting from one of many templates, then customize. You can
save it and edit it later. Registered users can analyze the performance
of their whole class by entering student scores into RubiStar to determine which items are problematic
for the class as a whole. RubiStar is free whether you are simply
trying it or a registered user.
