This web site features links to various curriculum ideas, lessons, and subject areas.  You will find some usable ideas that can be adapted to various skill levels.

The Concord Review -
Since 1987, the Concord Review has been searching out and publishing exemplary history essays by secondary students. Their official Web site has sample essays, information on submissions, and a database of past issues.

Creative Writing for Teens -
Provided by the Mining Company, this site brings together creative writing links, information about writing techniques, and activities in a single place. Diane Dobbs is your guide to all that is creative writing on the Internet.

Credible Sources Count -
Distinguish between crdeible sources of information and those not so credible.

EBSCO -
This database contains full text articles from thousands of periodicals past and present. To access: username is "nvschools", password is "password".

Encarta -
This site has a number of options for students to use that includes: reference materials, homework help college choices, dictionaries, and Atlas's. It also has some French, German the UK information sites. To access: there is no username or password.

Grolier -
This database provides access to three online encyclopedias: Encyclopedia Americana, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and The New Book of Knowledge. To access: username is "lock", password is "jaw".

Literature Resource Center -
This database provides access to biographies, bibliographies and critical analysis of authors from every age and literary discipline. To access: user name is "las40683", password is "las40683.

MLA -
This is a professional site that offers students and teachers information about citing sources when documenting information for reports or for publication.

This site is one of the most popular writing resources on the Web, and with good reason! From here, students can access research aides, online writing help, even English as a Second Language guides. Perhaps the most useful [art of the lab is its large repository of self-help documents for student writers.

This database contains full text articles from thousands of periodicals(magazines, newspapers, etc.) past and present. To access: customer number is "NV0181H", password is 89101.
