When we get back from spring break, we will spend that first week entirely in the library working on our research project.

   
Monday, April 9 through Friday, April 13 Research week in the library.

Your books must have at least 20 sticky notes in them (in bullet format -- no complete sentences) to help you remember what is happening and where you can find it. Also the sticky notes will help you find quotes in the book you are reading.

You are using this entire week in the library to do the research necessary for your research paper.

On Monday, I will check your sticky notes and your research. We will begin the writting process once I've checked sticky notes and research. Your research project (the finished product) is due on Monday, April 30 -- sooner if you can do that.

Remember that your research project is approximately 40% of your final grade, so this is really, really IMPORTANT. You must pass American Literature to graduate and you must do a reasonably decent job on your research project do pass this course.

6. Quotations that are 40 or more words long need to be handled differently than shorter quotes. They have to be indented. Don't forget to cite where the quote is coming from.
