Mission Statement:

The mission of Palo Verde HS is to prepare students to realize their academic, creative,
emotional, physical, social, and career potentials as contributing members of society in a
community of mutual respect.

 

School History:

Palo Verde High School, with a student population of 3,000+, is in its twelveth year of operation with a full class of students ninth through twelfth grades. The school opened at a temporary site in 1996-97, occupying portables and a portion of another school.

Palo VerdeThe school is in an eleven-year-old building with adjacent portable classrooms located in Summerlin, a rapidly growing suburban middle class to affluent community. The school's ethnic ratio is 61.2% white; 10.4% black; 15.9% Hispanic; 12.1% Asian/Pacific Islander and .004% Native American.

Our site includes a Clark County College of Southern NevadaHigh Tech Center and an adjacent Parks and Recreation facility, providing us with the opportunity to develop unique technology and curricular programs.
