PART 4- REGULATION DRILL PHASE
1. For clarification, the team commander is considered the Platoon/Flight commander and their position will be judged accordingly. Team commanders should make their commands distinct and complete. They will be judged on their command voice and presence.
2. Grading will start when the first Element/Squad marches onto the floor and will end when the last Element/Squad departs the floor.
3. Report using the following format.
“SIR/MAAM, (SCHOOL NAME). (BRANCH OF SERVICE, JUNIOR ROTC, (TYPE OF TEAM), REQUESTS PERMISSION TO CONTINUE WITH REGULATION DRILL PHASE, SIR/MA’AM”
4. Penalty points will be assessed for each movement added, omitted or performed out of sequence. Specific commands will be taken from the teams appropriate service manual.
5. All drill movements in the sequence will be performed in accordance with NAVMC 2691, FM 22-5 and AFI 36-2003. Cadence for Air Force units is 100 to 120 steps per minute.
6. Extra flourishes during regulation drill such as three count about faces, smiling while marching, calling cadence, etc., will be subject to 10 penalty points per violation at the discretion of the Head Judge.
