World Literature Honors Extra Credit: Quarter 2

January Question: Bring in a printout of this page with the answer to the following question written on it for 10 points extra credit (through January 31): What were the names of Shakespeare's children?

Play/Performance Review: See a PVHS production or performance or a play production elsewhere in Las Vegas. Then write a 250-word (minimum) review of the performance, attach your ticket stub or playbill, and turn in for 20 points extra credit. Limit one review per quarter.

Paragraph With Quotes: Carefully review this link on the use of quotes in your writing. Now write a paragraph detailing a characteristic of one of the cultures we have studied, using quotes from the literature as evidence (11 sentences and three quotes minimum) (20 points extra credit)

Anthem Essay: Edit your Anthem essay and re-submit a final draft of the essay (no outline) with a cover sheet that satisfies the requirements for the Ayn Rand essay contest for 20 points extra credit. To avoid disqualification, the stapled cover sheet MUST include your name and address; your e-mail address (if available); the name and address of your high school; topic selected (#1, 2 or 3 from list); your current grade level and (optional) the name of the teacher who assigned the essay, if you are completing it for classroom credit.
