STUDENTS - ATHLETES MUST COMPLETE AN ATHLETIC REGISTRATION

Coach Wynott is entering his first season coaching at Palo Verde High School and brings 12 years of coaching experience at the high school and college levels. Most recently, he served as a Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Mojave High School. Throughout his coaching career, Coach Wynott has helped develop multiple high school athletes who have gone on to play college basketball. His experience as a former college assistant coach also gives him valuable knowledge of the recruiting process and what it takes for student-athletes to prepare for and compete at the next level. As both a player and coach, Coach Wynott has competed in multiple high school state tournaments.
Coach Wynott believes in a player-centered approach to developing student-athletes. His practices are designed to challenge players' decision-making and prepare them for the situations they will encounter during games. He emphasizes game-like drills and realistic situations so that players can develop skills that translate directly to competition. His goal is to help each athlete grow individually while developing a team that is prepared, confident, and capable of competing at a high level.
Prior to joining Palo Verde, Coach Wynott served as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Western High School from 2019–2023. His previous coaching experience also includes serving as a Men's College Assistant Coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology from 2017–2018 and as a Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Westfield High School in Virginia from 2014–2016. Coach Wynott looks forward to bringing his experience, player-development philosophy, and passion for basketball to the Palo Verde basketball program.
