Scholarship Search
Scholarships can be a helpful way to fund your college education. They provide you with free money that can go towards tuition or other educational expenses.
Going Merry, Fastweb, Scholarships.com, Bold.org, and MyScholly are all general scholarship search websites. They will have national and local scholarships for 9th - 12th grade students. Generally speaking, students need sign up for only one of these websites.
Millennium Scholarship and Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) provides steep tuition discounts at 160 western U.S. colleges and universities.
Nevada Promise Scholarship available to any student graduating in the state of Nevada starting college the fall semester after high school graduation. Will cover tuition at a Nevada state run community college (CSN, TMCC, WNC). Covers tuition and other mandatory fees not met by federal or state aid for up to 3 years. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS OCTOBER 31, 2025 CSN's website details the steps to follow (linked at the beginning of the bullet).
Plublic Education Foundation provides an extensive variety of scholarships, many local to Las Vegas, and some specific to Palo Verde High School students. See the attached documents below for more more information on how to apply.
Questbridge for low-income students who have been highly successful academically. Students are able to apply early admissions to many of the nation's best colleges for free and be considered for a full four-year scholarship. "National College Match" applications are due by September 30, 2025 but requires 2 essays, 2 teacher letters of recommendation and more from your counselor.

Visit the College's website or contact its financial aid office. School deadlines are usually early in the year, often in February or March, although some are even earlier.

The FAFSA form must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Central time (CT) on June 30, 2026. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 11, 2026.
