INSTRUMENTAL DIRECTOR
TIM WARREN

Tim Warren is starting his first year as Director of Orchestras at Palo Verde. He was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania and started his musical studies on trumpet in 4th grade. he began his carrer in 2004, as the conducting apprentice with the Hochstein Youth Symphony Orchestra in rochester, NY. Tim Warren has since led ensembles throughout North and South America, Europe, Australia, China and most recently in Scandinavia. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from roberts Wesleyan College, a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory, and is pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at UNLV. Tim Warren conducts the NEXTET new music ensemble, The Southern Nevada Chamber orchestra, guest conducts for Vegas City Opera and Opera Las Vegas, works with the UNLV Opera and Wind departments, and serves as artistic director and conductor of the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra. He has led more than 300 music theatre productions as a music director, conductor, and stage director.
In education, he has worked in New York, Boston, Australia, Arizona, and Nevada. He currently teaches in the music departments at Great Basin College and UNLV. His former positions include Assistant Principal, Curriculum Director, Athletic Director, District Music Lead, and lead teacher. In addition to performance and education, Tim has adjudicated for the National High School musical Theatre Awards, The Cinderella Scholarship Pageant, Tucson Talent Workshop, and for the music educators' association festivals.
