MUSIC COURSES BAND

 

 

Advanced Band (Wind Ensemble):

● Labeled as “Advanced Band” on your class sign up sheet, Wind Ensemble

is an audition-based ensemble only. This band does two festivals in the

spring and performs concerts throughout the year. This band has weekly

evening rehearsals in the spring which are mandatory. This band receives

clinics and sectionals from different clinicians at these rehearsals.

Audition material will be live starting February 10th, 2025. Auditions are

the week of April 14th.

● Fee: $60 class fee ($63 with processing fee).

Concert Band (Intermediate Band):

● Labeled as “Intermediate Band” on your class sign up sheet, Concert

Band is an entry level band that solidifies note reading, sight readin

rhythms, and musicality. This band does one festival in the spring and

performs concerts throughout the year. This band is for anyone who

wants to be apart of a band. This includes players from no experience to

having many years of experience. There is no audition for concert band.

● Fee: $60 class fee ($63 with processing fee).

Marching Band/Pep Band:

● Marching band is solely after school. You can take a concert ensemble

and marching band without any schedule conflicts. You can also

sports or other activities without the conflict of marching band. We ha

students in many activities who are still very active in marching band.

Marching band competes in competitions on Saturdays in the fall in

Nevada. We will be going on trips for the fall (nations competitions) and

the spring (Disneyland parade). Marching band evolves into pep band in

the spring to play for basketball games. This band plays at pep rallies,

school parades, and other school events. There is NO audition for

marching band.

● Fee: around $600 (itemized list comes out in the fall) One time fee.

Color Guard/Winter Guard:

● Winter Guard: Winter Guard is an extension of Marching Band but for

only the color guard. Winter Guard meets from November to April to

compete in their own competitions and displays their own show.

● Fee: around $300 (itemized list comes out in the Fall).

Jazz Band (Advanced Jazz Band):

● Jazz Band is a speciality ensemble. Jazz band is achieved by audition only.

This band will attend multiple festivals in the spring and perform

concerts throughout the year. This band also performs at school

functions. This band has rehearsals in the evening for the spring with

clinicians. Audition material will be released on February 10th, 2025.

Auditions will be held on the week of April 14th.
