Dena Demman has taught at Palo Verde theatre for 23 years in both theatrical acting and theatre technology. Her greatest joy and achievements are the spring musicals-from Cinderella to Peter Pan, Wedding singer, Little shop of Horrors, In The Heights, Sound of Music and many more--they all hold a special place in her heart.

Palo Verde Theatre has won many awards under Mrs. Demman's direction, including many superior ratings at the International Thespian Festivals, SUU Shakespeare Competitions, and the Nevada High School Musical Awards. Most recently she was awarded the Best Set Design for her set for the In the Heights production in 2019.

Mrs. Demman enjoys teaching her students on campus but she also loves to travel with them to competitions and workshops at Disneyland and the Shakespeare Festival in cedar city, along with many and various more local field trips throughout the year. She has also taken students to London and New york city for theatrical workshops and performances.

Mrs. Demman graduated from UNLV with a BS in Theatrical Studies and minors in both Music and English Literature. She also holds a MA in Education. She has also attended numerous workshops in the heart of the Broadway Musicals in New York city and other various classes and workshhops throughout the country. In her spare time she plays keyboards and has played both live and in studios for various artist and venues for over 30 years. She also aspires to run a marathon in all 50 states and has just 15 left to complete!
