I was born in Salt Lake City UT and moved slowly north until we finally settled in Pleasant View UT.  After high school I attended Southern Utah University where I majored in German, minored in Dance and Visual Arts, and received my Teaching Certificate.  After I began teaching, I attended University of Portland and Received my MA in German in 2007.

I began my teaching career at Valley High School in 1997, where I remained for 20 years.  At Valley I taught German, Art 1, Ceramics, Painting, Drawing, AP Studio Art and IB Visual Arts.

In 2017 I decided it was time for a change.  I moved to Palo Verde, where I have been ever since.   I am teaching Digital Illustration 1-2, Painting 1-2 and IB Visual Arts Juniors and Seniors. 

My favorite things to do are spending time with my family, I have 2 step kids and 1 daughter, all of which are out of the house now. My daughter Morgan is in her fourth year of college at Sterling College in Kansas.  We also have 3 dogs and a turtle

I also enjoy reading, watching sports, traveling, and doing outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, pickle ball, swimming etc.
